The Road to Pentecost: Growing in the Charisms · Assisi, Italy

Assisi conference: Growing in the Charisms ∙ June 08 – 12, 2011

ICCRS and the international CCR joined for a special event in Assisi leading up to Pentecost. This event was an opportunity for refreshment and an occasion to reflect upon and grow in the Charisms.

The Road to Pentecost: Growing in the Charisms · Assisi, Italy

There were inspirational talks, practical workshops, times of praise and worship and daily Mass. It was a wonderful time for building new relationships, sharing experiences and growing in fellowship as an International Charismatic family. Following the event, there were two optional pilgrimages exploring the sites of St. Francis in the city of Assisi, and visiting some Christian sites in Rome.

Pilgrimage in Assisi ∙ June 12 – 13, 2011

This one-day pilgrimage was an occasion to visit the most important places in the life of St. Francis such as the Cathedral of S. Rufino where he was baptized, the Basilica of S. Chiara with the famous Crucifix and the magnificent Basilica of St. Francis.

Pilgrimage in Rome ∙ June 13 – 16, 2011

This pilgrimage gave participants the occasion to visit some of the most important Christian sites in the eternal city such as the major Basilicas (St. Peter, St. Paul, St. John, and St. Mary Major), the catacombs, and other sites like the famous “Tre Fontane” where St. Paul was martyred, in addition to other major touristic destinations. Every day, participants attended Mass and had time for prayer.
